Just bought a factory HomeLink unit for it for $5 (eBay would have been $30).
But I'm even more excited that I may have found a perfect donor truck for interior parts.It is the same color interior. I could get another round of the pieces I painted already, PLUS the overhead console and just about anything else I can think of. The guy is waiting to hear what is going to happen with the truck (totaled or repaired; conflicting stories regarding level of insurance coverage right now). SO basically I can get an ENTIRE matching interior 8 miles away!!!!

I sure hope so too!
I figured I'd tell him $50-75 for everything I can take. If I decide to buy the dash too (apparently you have to remove the dash to take out the piece that goes around the passenger airbag that I want; if you know what I mean), I'd do $150 for everything that I can take.
I mean seriously, who the heck else is gonna want interior parts? Other than the seats (which I also don't need).
I'd buy the whole truck, but it can't move on its own (hood, driver's fender, driver's door, front driver's side suspension are all junk). I have no idea what happened, but I know the guy drove it down the road with sparks flying and on the frame/A-arm. Plus, I have no use for another engine or transmission. I might take a look at the box, but I already know the truck has 184k miles on it (check the gauge cluster; love the old mechanical ones!).
And before you ask Dennis, somehow the mirror on the driver's side got busted and obviously the A-arm is junk too. Sorry

Oops, sorry. For the K1500 (the HomeLink and the possible parts truck). The S10 doesn't get any fun stuff, just enough to keep it running.
I started a thread on it (the HomeLink) and have had 40 views, but no one knows what to do apparently. 
Gave it a quick rinse. It needed it badly.
I walked past both of em and shook my head as i got in my mom malibu i have been driving.

Got the tires rotated/balanced. Still look basically new with 6k miles on them 17/32's tread left.
