Picked up the radiator at 4pm. Was glad to hear that this radiator is the best money can buy for this application, and also the biggest. They said it's an old school style radiator, not one of those new POS aluminum and plastic ones. So they said take care of it, change the coolant once a year and you'll never have a problem. He said it's designed to cool a 454.
So anyways I put it it, along with all new rubber, a gallon of antifreeze/coolant, and topped her off with water.
I thought I had bought new plug wires when I rebuilt the engine (everything else was new) but turns out I didn't. Gonna buy the "make your own" brand tomorrow, they are about $50 bucks but dad has had good luck with them. Really helps to get that perfect length.
My tach wire had come off the distributor cap, had to get in there and stick it back on....
Bout to get on summit and look into a 1" carb riser....
My wipers and parking lights will be here wednesday....
Anyway, I'm back in the drivers seat and she's ready to go!
