Ceramic pads FTW!

I'll never go back to anything else.

Damn, sorry to hear that Andy! I'm taking my truck in today for brakes, it is too cold to do them right now and my brakes are completely shot.

I went with the Wagner thermoquiet Ceramics. That was in November. Little to no dust and they stop great!!!

That's good to hear Scotty, I remember you did a brake job right after mine, sounds like you're doing better than I.

Why buy new when you can restore?

So ceramic is the way to go for reduced dust?

I hate brakes. It seems like every time you work on them, something goes wrong. Usually the caliper floating (they rust solid up here).

Maybe I should start taking the brakes apart every couple years and lube them good so this doesn't happen.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
:fume: That sucks.

I need to do my brakes some time. Not sure if I'll do it myself or not. :dunno:
It's easy to do, you'll save money and feel good about doing it yourself, come on over when the weather's warm

Yeah I was mainly referring to the cold.

I have done pads before, but I always get paranoid about the rotors. i'm sure I'd be able to tell real quick if they were bad, but that's something I hear about on these GMT900 trucks.
