Another great write-up Andy. :)

You have been busy the past couple of days. :)

My pads still have some life left with 95k on them. The rear are disc as well and seem to be doing good also. Now the Acadia is another story and looks like it will need new stoppers soon.

Very nice! I wish I would have painted my calipers when I did mine, but I ran out of time...

I'm thinking I need to do mine pretty soon. They have been doing a strange "chatter" for the past few months now. Especially when they are cold/cool like early in the morning. But I looked at the pads and they still a few MMs before the wear sensors will start scrapin. I'm trying to scrounge the parts together and do it one day when I feel up to it. I wonder if I'd need new rotors. I'm almost to 90k miles on all stock brakes. Those are some good lookin rotors Andy. How much did they set you back?

They were $95/ea. A little more than what I wanted to spend, but I plan on keeping the truck until the wheels fall off and having the Lifetime Warranty was a huge plus in my mind. Also, the Cmax's were $55 if you were wondering.

Also, I thought about some higher premium rotors that were slotted and/or drilled, but I had some on my '04 Grand Prix GTP Comp G and they sounded horrible. You could hear them as they turned with the pads rubbing on them, like a constant ticking sound.

I was a little freaked out this morning, I hadn't painted calipers/brackets in a few years, and when I parked the truck at work this morning smoke was coming from the wheel-wells. First thing I thought, crap, I broke a brake line or some brake fluid is leaking on the new setup. Then I realized the smell was coming from the paint curing. Whew!

Mine did the same thing. Startled me for a second until I thought about it. :D
