I was able to get it out of Park so she could get home(went to pick up grandaughter @ school). For now she'll have to leave it in neutral & use the E-brake when parking.
Now my question is where is the f'n module that controls the shifter release thingy?...my Haynes manual doesn't show me squat :fume:

The f'n module has got to be in the steering column doesn't it? That's where the "click" noise comes from on mine when you push the brake. :dunno:

Really hope this is an easy fix for you Gary!!

how you get it out of park? Crawl under and move the selector itself?

She f'd with it for a little while then called me...I got in,turned the key on,but not start, stepped on the brake, pulled on the gearshift and it came out of Park :dunno: :wtf?: I told her it didn't like women....she didn't like that

The linkage is on the right side of the column, just under and behind the ignition switch. I had to move it on mine when I changed my multi-function switch a couple weeks ago.

I may still have the diagrams in the garage...
