Well after putting my truck up for sale, I have really been thinking about what I would do without a truck. The more and more I think about it the more I get depressed. So after talking with the wife, I have decided to keep it, unless I get some crazy offer for it of course. I told her I almost have the truck that I want, minus the lift, and I know that I probably won't have a lift ever for this truck, but she agreed, I have put to much money into it to sell it right now. So next thing.....Saleen Grill! I have had the money put back for awhile for the grill, just haven't bought it yet, 1) they didn't have any in stock, 2) didn't want to spend the money on it if I was going to sell the truck. Hopefully the wife understands. :fingersx:

Save the money for gas, or at least hold off on the grille until spring. You just never know.

Wait, the point of this thread was about cutting costs and saving some bucks and living more within your means, right? The 'custom' grill you've already got will be replaced with another one that costs some amount of money...man, that just doesn't make any sense. I'm not trying to be an ass here but think about it, you're trying to save money by selling the truck and now that you're not, you're going to sink some more money into it? :dunno: That's some fuzzy logic in my book.

Hopefully she "WON'T"...:(

You are not making any sense what so ever...
You wanted to save money because the budget is tight...and now you want to just THROW AWAY money that DOES NOT NEED to be spent... on a stupid grille??? :wtf?:

What am I missing here?? :dunno:
I reckon I misunderstood the whole point of this long thread and people trying to help you "SAVE" money...not "SPEND" money...:dunno:

I considered selling my Suburban 2 years ago when gas was over 4 bucks a gallon. It was bleeding me to death to keep fuel in it. I was spending over 300 a month on gas. But after sesing how low other Suburbans and Yukons and Tahoes were sellng for, plus the fact that mine is paid for, I decided to keep it. What I did instead was bought a 96 civic for running back and forth. I paid 1000 bu ks for it and it was only costing me about 100 a month in gas versus the 300 the burban was costing me. But it was long before shit started breaking on the civic. The repairs started adding up and I was wondering if it was actually worth it to save some gas money. A few months later gas went back below 3 bucks a gallon and I sold the damn civic and the burban became my daily driver again.

That's what I was thinking, but didn't want to say it! :D

I'm not buying the grill anytime soon, that is just the next thing on the list when I can afford it. I know that I am trying to save money, that's why I said "next thing" doesn't mean anytime soon.
