It takes all of 30 minutes to put in, find the time.

you say 30 min, another says 3 x longer for him....that puts me around......6 hours. ha! if i'm not help my buddy tomorrow move, then its going on. got my 3rd brake light also, not going in until i get all parts for, MISSION: This Lil' Light of Mine

It won't take more than 30 minutes tops. Just don't force the cover back in. You might need to wiggle/turn it a little. I used a pair of channel-locks on the thing that bumps out so I could turn it while pushing in on it.

When you put it back together just make sure your cover is pushed-in far enough, otherwise your snap-ring will never go back on.

nope not done. started on my light conversion. see my other thread and drop input if anyone has any. servo probably wont be in until next week maybe, i got a lot of underway time coming up

Oregon also has the longer pin which I had in my other trans they said it's to take up the slack of something like that I forgot. The Jet Pak I have did better on my trans and the B&M shift kit is trash don't spend your money on that brand kit. I had a B&M kit on my 76 Firebird it did super but not on my 4L60E.
