At least I admitted my secret admiration of the mustang. I'm not for the base models but those new 5.0's just look mean

I'm a Ford fan and don't care for the base models. I'd only buy the 5.0 if I were in the market for a car like that.

One of those car shows on speed channel did a show down of a couple of special edition cars. One was a 5.4 supercharged mustang (can't remember the edition or badge) and the other was a turbo'd 6.2 Camaro....

They both had around a thousand hp, but the mustang outperformed the Camaro in almost all categories. That big turbo just couldnt spool up quick enough.

Of course that was a supercharged 5.4 (not the 5.0)....

I still think that if I were in the market, I'd buy the Camaro....I do love the mustang but not enough to turn my back on the chevy. I also like what people are doing with those aluminum 6.2's

I would love to have the v6 with its 31 mpg. The v6 stang still has dual exhaust just wont have that awesome v8 sound. I'm sure if I drive the v8 it would be hard to settle for the v6. I've been a Ford guy my whole life but it would be retarded to say I wouldnt drive a chevy. I would love to own an SSR, I've always wanted a 59 impala coupe and I've been known to admire the 65 chevelle.

I have to wonder if they did a reginal/limited release? I had inquired about the V-8 and in the area we live in (South Arkansas) none were avaialble for delivery in July. They all showed late late August to early Sept. That was when the wife chimed in with her V-8 comment. I never asked anymore about them but I'll bet if we realy did want one then they must have been availble some place. Dallas is only 4 hours from us and I would be willing to bet they would have been there. Intresting......or possible just dealer bullshit??

I thought I remember something similar to that...or a quality issue hold up.
