ok.

this
You shouldnt have to do ANY mods to a factory engine to make it perform correctly.
i agree with, but your blaming the engine.
it was ford/navistar's greed that caused this. getting a engine that didnt have to be emissions compliant, to in fact be compliant, was the downfall. I think the fords look good enough to overlook a little bit of work. like i said, i like working on my vehicles and this is not a blindly bought truck. i know there could be issues. i will deal with them as they arise.

Great looking rig ! Looks like the big brother to my now gone 04 scab long bed and everyone thought it was a beast !. Even the same color.

As far as the post “You shouldnt have to do ANY mods to a factory engine to make it perform correctly.”. I don't know of any PERFECT engine. If there was they would all be made the same.
Different motors are better suited for different applications. The auto industry is always trying to make them better and sometimes I think they rush new motors out to try to stay ahead of the competition and don't get all the bugs worked out , usually the problems are a preventable problem with a little adjustment to the original motor , as the case with the motor he has.

I'm not brand loyal to any of them. I own a variety of vehicles , each has its own purpose. And each its own problems. Why can't they all just be perfect :dunno: it would make life easier.

Nice truck! :)

You can haul just about anything in that LB! Might make for parking at the local Outback kind of fun.
