Question regarding trans/oil cooling

BUT

Adding a trans cooler is a known life extender for the trans. Just because it was designed to run through the radiator doesn't mean it can't be upgraded to a better cooling system. Towing packages from most manufacturers bypass the radiator and use an external cooler.

Personally, I would leave the engine oil alone.

OK,I agree with all of you,so as it looks now I see a new and bigger radiator in my future.There's a four row in it now,does someone make one with more?without going the custom made route? I just have a problem with the temp gauge reading 210-230 when towing my hauler.As far as I can tell by listening the fan clutch engages somewhere about 220 and always cools it right down to 205-210 or so.It's a constant cycle.up/down,up/down.I can also turn on the aux. rad. fan(16'') which helps too but sounds like a DC-3 taking off....

does any of this make sense?

forgot to tell you guys,we(most of my family) are going on a four day cruise to Ensenada,Mehico....leaving tomorrow about 5pm. back monday sometime WOO HOO!!!

Yeah, gray is not usually known for having fun at sea is it.

Nope,but I do miss the open sea
