where did you mount the ballasts?

I will try to get pics of the driver's side but the passenger side I just stuck and ziptied it to the post right behind the headlight and in front of the air box.
how long carl? i got mne in march or april...
I think I got mine over a year ago. :uhoh:

Me so shocked.
Exactly, why put a mod on right away when it can sit in your spare bedroom or living room for a year.

As much as i like HID's, without projectors, they are way to blinding for the other poor drivers on the road. Dont feel like being the ass responsible for causing an accident because im blinding everyone else coming the other way.

There have been many cars utilizing HID's without projector setups. The GMT800 Excalades, 2nd Generation G35's, etc. have all done it.
True, but those reflectors were designed for HIDs.

Meh, I think you're giving them more credit than they deserve.

Quick question for ya, how do you get the lights to only turn on only when I turn them on. I pulled the DRL fuse but they still turn on when I am in the garage because it thinks it is night out.

No, having a housing+ designed to control that much light output is a huge deal. It's the difference between blinding on coming traffic with your glare or not. Even with the lights aimed down, an hid in a reflector housing not designed for HID's will still have lots of glare. All it takes is pissing off the wrong cop one night, the fines are pretty extreme down here. $800+ for equipment violation, and my friend learned the hard way.

How's the glare on these? It can be hard to tell from the pictures sometimes as the sensors just get washed out with light.

Those 5000k do light fairly blue in the pictures. I've got a 55w 5000k on my CBR600, and it's bluer then I expected but not as blue as the picture looks. My bike housing glares more then I'd like, but I put the HIDs in there to be seen because it seemed like everyone ignored a single headlight driving around.
