Sorry, not a gm fan, maybe their trucks are better but i owned an 07 cobalt and the thing was falling apart. screws falling out from the steering collum, engine sensors going, downpipe cracked, wheel bearing went 3 times etc... Not a good experience with a gm product

you base a GM line on your opinions of a cobalt??? something is off there. i cant disagree with your comparison. i have never touched a new dodge, but they do look nice.

Like I said, maybe their trucks are better but a cobalt is still a product of gm and they should have some type of quality controls on all their vehicles and I certainly wasnt going to chance it on another gm vehicle when spending this kind of money. I think most people in my position would do the same, also for most professional reviews for the 09/10 model half ton trucks, gm trucks weren't the top dogs this time around.

Not to start a brand bash war but if my opinion of Dodge was based on a friends Neon I would have never bought my 08. Just sayin completely different animals.

And maybe if I owned a neon and had a bad experience I wouldnt have my dodge. Who knows, once again, a 3 year old vehicle shouldn't be falling apart, literally falling to peices, I don't care how cheap it is, a cobalt SS was still a 23 thousand dollar car new in Canada.

I don't base my reasons on a friends car because I don't know how the car was treated and maintained, but I k ow how mine was treated and maintained and it still fell apart after a few years.

Either way, this thread did not even include gm so please take the review for what it is with the content in it and leave it at that. I had my own reasons for not looking at a gm product whether you agree with them or not

Exactly, thank you, i dont hate gm or anything, but if i dont have a pleasant experience with a gm product, im not inclined to spend almost triple the amount on another one right after.

You betcha
I would say that is accurate of the 5.4...however the 2011 5.0 liter will probably rip the hemi a new a-hole. It's supposed to be priced under the eco-boost as well. Those are going to be fun to test drive.
