If Nascar went back to the points system that was in place before this chase bullshit, he wouldn't have won the championships he has. You can run mediocre the first 90% of the year and still be within 100 points of the lead when the chase starts. I understand its supposed to make it more "exciting" but its made it the opposite IMO. They should go back to the points system they had so you reward the driver who runs the best throughout the entire year, not just the last 10 races.
