Muffler sound.

Ok guys I was thinking of changing out my Magnaflow muffler one in two out on my 93 F/S 5.7 truck to a single glasspak one in two out I did have one at one time but it was to loud but my hearing is getting worst and I was thinking of going back to one. Now im wondering if I do will my flow be less?

The reason I took it off before was because when I took off my stock Cat and put on a free flowing Magnaflow Cat it got real loud. Or I could always have dumps or pipes turned down to the ground but im thinking that it's going to be to loud guys im just thinking of it I don't know if I really want to do it.

PS-Or should I just get a Flowmaster muffler and which one . I also was looking at the Borla muffler one in two out. I have a video on You Tube of what I have but I can't find it my son posted it.

Glass packs are straight through design, so I don't think you'd have less flow.

imo I hate the inflated sound of glasspack mufflers. It's just loud and obnoxious. I would continue the route of a magnaflow, corsa or borla muffler. Find the one that goes for the sound you want. You can look into resonators to change the pitch of the exhaust as well.

The 5.7 is raspy with a glasspack. Check out some 4 inch resonators to add to your Magnaflow

Cool, the one that I did have was a '90 model, with a 24" cherry bomb. I am not too sure of the pipe diameter in that year, I am thinking it was 2.75". I didn't care for the tone of that one at all. I ended up with a Dynomax turbo style on it after that.
