I noticed last night that my alarm siren is making a clicking sound when its armed whats wrong with it? Now it chirps or sounds perfect when alarming or turning it on or off. Anybody ever run into this? Thanks! Roland Posting from my cell phone the first. He! He! Me

Does it constantly click when armed? What system do you have?

Is the 'click' coming from the siren itself? I'm not really sure what that would be.... I'm assuming your truck is off when this is happening right?

Describe the "click"...

Is it a regular, even, click, like the ticking of a clock, or is it random? Is it very quiet or fairly loud?

Is anything still left running in the truck, like a radio or a GPS left plugged in?

Nothing is being left on the click is very soft sound in fact when I put my hand on it the sound changes it's also a Viper alarm. The ticking is coming while the truck is off now I got in the truck and armed it and I made it go off it works fine and the siren sounds perfect.

Only time I've ever heard a siren making a clicking sound was when the car's battery was damn near dead. If thats not the case, I'd say the siren is probly defective.
Its hard to say without actually hearing it in person. :dunno:

Up-date siren is good my alarm brain is messed up or a power wire is sitting to close to the power wire leading to the siren. I need to look for a replacement brain I bought it's a Viper brand I hope it works or I do have another whole alarm set up this one even has a siren that you can program a message on it or if you get to close to the truck it says stand back. The alarm sure has lasted it's only 17 years old like my truck.

Double check your ground wire for the alarm. Come to think of it, I did have a similar issue on an alarm once and the ground wire for the brain came loose. It acted fine once I re-secured the ground wire. :dunno:
