Need help finding a replacement drive shaft for my Ford Nite.

wish you were closer doug.....i have a huge selection of u joint parts... my f250 takes a bastard joint and.. a few other rides ive had takes some wicked ones i always keep the old ones if there good just to have around

Did you get the truck home?
i got the truck home by removing the rear shaft and using 4x4 high....i wish you were closer too kyle..but my uncle said he has a u-joint for it at the horse barn..i'm going up there to get it shortly...we will see if we can get it going today..i will let you guys knowq how it works out.:tmc::cheers:

good luck doug. i kinda feel you pain about searching for a shaft that will fit. when i was gonna swap to a 9.75 no one could tell me how much length was gonna be different of what shaft might swap since the m5od was never in a truck with a 9.75 rear

ok guys....i got the u-joint replaced without having to use old parts...i found that a 353 mastercraft bastard joint actuaqlly fits!!! hhhoooorrrraaaaayyyyy!!!!!!! got it all together and she's doing fine for now...still gonna have the shaft made though...that little shaft just doent get the job done....lol.....:cheers:

Glad you are up and running for the time being. I assume when you have the new shaft made you plan on having new yokes used to avoid this u-joint issue?

yes sir....i want new yokes on both ends..shaft and the yolk on the rear end as well....:thumbs:

Your driveshaft could probably use a healthy balancing

:lolup::wtf?::pfingers:............got to have the better shaft..i was lucky this was only a u-joint this time..the yokes are geting worn on the shaft and the rearend..so i'm gonna have them all made when i get the driveshaft done...i had to limp it up to town in 4high today and change it in the parkinglot at orielly's auto..:lol:

A bad u-joint can wear out the yoke...

Maybe some excessive wheel hop made your rear axle rotate a touch, putting more stress on the joint.
