They don't make Pontiacs anymore.

They don't make Cavaliers anymore either, but you've mentioned them a couple of times.. :dunno:

Are you looking for new or used?

Undecided on new or used yet. But leaning more new. I want something with less than 50,000K on it and good in snow on the interstate for traveling back and forth to school. Which is 30min-45min drive one way.

I'm not familiar with your area.. "Good in snow"..? Are we talking paved (maintained) streets or back roads, a few inches or a foot or more?

My knee-jerk reaction re: one of the vehicles you mentioned would be.. "Camaro.. probably not the best vehicle to get if you want 'good in snow'." :dunno:

The V6 Camero gets a lot better MPG, but there are probably better choices out there..

Kris mentioned Subarus.. The Legacy (sedan) w/ the base 4-banger gets low 20's in town, low 30's on the road.. They have full-time AWD, too, so they should be good in snow.. :dunno:

EDIT : Edited to annoy Carl... :D2

My hubby was in Maryland last winter. He had an HHR rental (work related) and it did great in the snow and such. And it got pretty good MPG.
