I was told not to use this isolator or one like it by three different auto electric shops.

heck I thought this would be a good choice. I was wrong.

I would agreee with those shops. They don't work well. Use the heavy duty contact solenoid.

I have started the install.
1st I got out some tools and I removed the K&N CAI

then I tried to figure out where to put or how the battery tray. And how is the battery going to sit.

once I figured that out I needed to find a place for the junction block.
and the solenoid

yo will notice that I ran the Amp wires from the other side . the fuses are top left of the throttle housing. after moving the fuse holders and #4 wire to the junction block I was able to mount the solenoid

I moved all the power wires from the stock battery to the junction block

Kc lites, viaAir system, Cb radio and of course the stereo

the next pic is on the stock battery side where there used to be 4 different fuse holders.

I'M Finished

well I finally finished.

the battery and isolator wasn't all that bad. but moving everything to a junction block making all the harnesses took me a log time.

Everything:
Cb radio wires
on board air system wires
Kc driving lights
Two amp power leads

A total of 7 fused power lead and
A couple of grounds

Mounting the battery tray
Solenoid
Junction block

Removing all the original wires for the various thins in above list and making the harnesses.

removing the K&N
Installing the JLT

Putting the truck back to stock from the custom tunes for the K&N

Installing the new Custom tunes for the JLT Ram air system.

It took me two days. Just because I wanted to make new wire harnes for all things I moved.

Her is my work area where my truck rested while I worked

I didn't seem to loose any power. The truck screamed up my hill I drive on every day.
My first drive tonight was good. going to the desert this weekend and I will see how it works. I think now I will stat looking at the different hoods.
I am more curious on how it will handle off roading. Don't worry I will test it good.
