Are you sure that is an 06.... I thought they got rid of that ugly plastic crap by then. :dunno:

I am fairly certain the cladding was gone by then too.

'04 I am thinkin?? :dunno:
Well after clicking on his link there is no picture so maybe he just pulled that up as a reference photo. :dunno:
That's probably right, Tegeler is a small town dealership. They probably don't have a pic of all their vehicles and just get close with stock photos.

That's the actual truck, I snapped a pic yesterday, no cladding was an option starting in '03. The cladding is no different than Line-X'd rockers IMO :ohnoes:

Yup, not having it was an option not standard. Ex GF's old man owned 2 avy's in the time we were together, they're nice trucks if you can handle the useless bed.

I know I'm in the minority, for sure, but I like the cladding. My pop had one back in 03 and I swear, that stuff was great. If I bought an Avalanche I'd want mine to have it. You could hit it with a bat and it didn't budge. It was great for door-ding protection.

If I didn't need an 8 foot bed I would own one with the cladding. I think it looks better with it in that body style and it covers the 'ole rusted rockers issue.

I searched 2006 Avalanche and there were several with plastic cladding :dunno: I do know that it doesn't look great.
I did that too but look at the pic info, it always says 2002-2006 avalanche. I am almost positive they did away with the cladding in 04 like Scott said.

Like Kyle said in post 82 I believe, there was a "no cladding" option offered starting at a certain point.
