So they made them both ways... no wonder GM was bleeding money like a beheaded chicken back then.

HOLY CRAP!

And here I thought they made them look like the Silverados to...you know...save a buck.

But on the Avalanche they had unique fenders, front and rear, and a completely unique front fascia.

That makes TONS of cents....

See what I did there...it's a pun because we were talking about money! :rollin:

Clever.

I do agree. Making both made no CENTS. Especially considering they were working on the GMT900 replacements for all of the SUV/Truck offerings. And they wonder why they damn near lost their ass!

Yeah...I'm shaking my head on that move.....

I kinda think the same thing about Chevy and GMC.

I think it might be a different story if they didn't sell so many trucks - or if the market had stayed in the toilet like it was 18 months ago.

CONGRATS on the new sled!

No...not even close to the same thing.

Think about it...all of the development costs associated with GMT-900 trucks is paid for by Chevy. They are the volume seller.

So...for a tiny investment in a different grille and headlights, GM can make a GMC version of the same truck and sell it for MORE than the Chevy version. Welcome to profit city.

Nice pick!

So what are you plans for the good old GMT-400?
Keeping it, it's finally going to get some work done to it now that I don't have to daily drive it anymore.

Nice truck..I have heard they ride like caddies..does it..
It rides awesome compared to the 95, even though the 95 has new monotube shocks.
