NO...
The driveshaft spinning the transmission will totally destroy it...internally..
There is no pump to circulate fluid in the transmission without the engine running.

Trannys used to have "TWO" pumps...Now they only have one...

But if the transfer case is in neutral... It's not turning the transmission, is it?
(I'm removing the driveshaft anyway... But I'm curious now...)

To be honest... I don't really know how the transfer case works regarding the rear wheels.

I would just take out the driveshaft and do it that way.
Then you "KNOW" the tranny is not spinning with no lubrication.

As long as it wouldn't lock up the back wheels... I wouldn't really care much about the transmission... It only has 1st and 2nd anyway

But the rear output shaft of the transmission will still be turning and generating a "TON" of heat inside the tranny, because there will be no lubrication.

It could seize up and lock the rear wheels while you are driving down the highway.

That would "NOT" be good...

So if I take out front and rear driveshafts, I could tow it 4 wheels on the ground... :jester: :(

Yep... You could do it that way by using a tow bar...

You mean a tow rope and someone inside to work the brakes, right? :jester:

That would be very not good

I'll wander over to Keddie's and see if they have a dolly for rent that can haul a 'burb... Most dollies are for small FWD cars :(

How fast can a 4L60/80E go in 2nd gear?

Of course it depends on the rear end ratio...but...
My 2006 Chevy van shifts from 2 to 3rd a little past 75...
The Caddy shifts from 2 to 3rd at 90...and from 3rd to 4th at 135.

My adventure I'm going to have this weekend, really made me glad I swapped everything to Amsoil
When driving excessively fast on the highway, my shifter doesn't get too hot to touch now

I never do "THAT"...:(
I am the old guy in the left lane...going too slow...with the left blinker on...:)

I just saw you the other day...that was me "waving"
