The KYB shocks on my Explorer were installed around the 94K mark (replacing the OEM) and I now am well over 198K. They seem to be just as good now as they were... but I bet a new set would be an improvement. At 200K I don't think I'm gonna be replacing a lot of stuff though. :dunno:

If I get 40k out of them, I'll be happy... Then they'll have lasted as long as the factory originals

Is there a big difference between the gas-o-just and the Mono-Max other than price? I noticed that the Mono-Max are more for trucks and SUV's.

I've never used the Mono-Max before... But my truck worked pretty hard this weekend in the races, and the front end got airborne again... Shocks took the beating like a champ!

Still brand new!

Don't mean to thread-jack, but what do you guys think would be better out of KYB GR-2 and Monroe Sensatracs? I been looking for new struts for the wifes car, and it seems thats the only ones I can find. Bilstien doesn't make any for a 2005 Altima. :dunno:

I like my KYB's better than I did my Bilsteins :dunno:

I haven't heard too much one way or the other about the Monroe's

Go KYB
