Sawzalled the pipes after the muffler so I could test fit the new shit. It got a LOT louder with just a couple feet of pipe removed.

Thanks. I can't wait to get them in and see how bright they are. Hopefully the TYC Elegante lenses are as great as other guys say they are (supposedly great for reducing glare)Nice job on the HID's Matt.

I ordered the HIDs at 12:45pm and they are already shipped. No estimated arrival date yet. Hopefully by Fri or Sat. Then I would be able to install them this weekend along with the LEDs.
If anyone can help me with the 4-High mod for GMT-400's or a couple of other wiring questions, PLEASE PM me.

About that "4-High" mod... I assume you're talking about having the all the lights, high beams and low beams, come on when you turn on the high beams? Unless the truck was originally designed for that it's illegal under Federal law.
Some cars and trucks did come factory equipped where both sets of lights came on when the high beams were activated, but those were specifically designed with high beams that didn't cover the full area, so that the low beams "filled in" the area that needed to be illuminated that the high beams didn't. The vast majority of cars and trucks though have high beams that do fill in both the high beam area and the low beam area, and having the low beams come on also increases the light output in those overlapping areas beyond the Federal limits, hence the reason why the code specifically forbids having both high and low beams on unless the system is designed (and approved by DOT) to have no overlap between the beams.Code of Federal Regulations
