I find that if I cut back to just 4 or 5 wide open throttle runs per day I save quite a bit of gas.

Well everyone knows that Big Oil bought all the Tornado's and put them in a secret warehouse in New Mexico.

:paranoid:

It's true! I've seen it, the warehouse is about 30 miles east of Carlsbad. They say they're storing low yield radioactive waste, but it's actually Tornado's. They're even putting them 1/4 mile under ground so no one will find them in the future.

On a more serious note: the way I look at all this shit, if it only costs 50 cents to 2 bucks to make (Tornado, throttle body spacer, etc) and works as they say they do, automakers would already be using them. I guarantee AFM and all those other things meant to boost fuel economy cost way more than that.

Ditto. With all these technology and such. I am sure car manufactures would have this done already. A light foot and a sotck tuned truck will give you good MPG. :naughty:

That's what I've always thought too. AFM is about the only thing that manufacturers have found/done that works. Some say the Tornado works and others don't.

However, in some cases, a tune might actually help you. I think of it as though the engine is not working so hard. And an engine that doesn't work as hard gets better mileage.

Just my $.02

Well, here is one for you all to ponder, I have a 2001 F150 Supercrew 4X4, a good friend has, a 2003 F150 Harley Davidson, supercharged, we got on the truck scale's he in Oregon, we weigh the same, (Yeah we are scratching our heads too), he get's between 17/19 MPG...me 13 MPG, if I drive like an old man...so my conclusion....more H.P. by say +100= better fuel MPG's, we haven't dug into rear end gear ratio's, I'm 3:55, and I know he is different, but enough to make 4/6 MPG difference???:dunno:

I know Bigredmariner said he is getting better mileage since he put on his super charger (well, along with all the BB tuning).
