Vortec > VTEC
It's been FAR too long since I've been around these parts, but hopefully you guys won't mind me rejoining again!
Anyway, after I get the cash flow going again this summer, I'm hoping to purchase a few needed mods.
First on the list is a Truetrac differential; seriously, I NEED IT—open diffs are a road hazard! After that, I'm trying to choose between a cam or some Doug Thorley Tri-Ys (which I've gotten some great advice about from nubuilder
). I'm really leaning towards a cam, more specifically this cam or one similar to it, since I think it would benefit me more for daily-driving with loads of off-idle torque. Of course, I also would like to get a TransGo 4L60E-HD2 shift kit. Hopefully I'll finally have a Corvette servo on my way in a few days, too. I think I'll be able to complete the list, but I might have to pick and choose between the cam and headers in order to not blow all of my money.
Oh, and here's a better picture of my truck with the Alcoa Tahoe Z71 wheels I got last November, though it's still just an iPhone photo:
Don't mind the window chalk, this is the best picture I have of it since I halfway detailed it. And yes, I need a real camera.
Oh, and what would you guys think of a full-on Z71 conversion (à la the GMT400 Tahoe Z71) with the body-colored grill, bumpers, and fender flares, and the front bumper with fog lights? Another pointless dream, but I have been considering it since I love how those Tahoes look.
