Sooo after just looking at the post, why can't you just buy an aftermarket amp and have it installed..... seems a hell of a lot easier than going through that mess. :dunno:

Well...keep in mind that that those are the instructions for the whole nav system install. We would just be doing the amp.

Basically...take old amp out, move pins around, plug new amp in, reprogram head unit, enjoy.

We should have compared sound systems at the BB meet. You guys would have been amazed...hell, my rearview mirror shakes now...from the stock "no highs, no lows it must be BOSE" sound system.

So you must have replaced the Bose speakers?? I have powered 3 different trucks now with different amps to the Bose speaks, there ain't enough amp on the planet to make a 6" paper cone sub sound right.

I should just get an Denali, been thinking about it lately, wouldn't mind a sunroof . might be in the plans.............................................06 sierra Denali

Well...just remember that they come with an auto 4WD system...that is why I didn't want one...plus, an amp is cheaper than a whole new truck...

And get your hood protected with that 3M stuff before it gets all chipped up.

It still needs to be wet sanded one more time with 2000 grit by my painter, then it will get the 3m treatment :D

What would you guys get, 33x12.5 Toyo MT's or 295/55/20 Trail Grapplers? The trail grapps are cheaper and still come out to be a 33.

I will be getting new keys in the near future along with new shocks.

I think I would go with the 295/55/20 Trail Grapplers. But I think they are both good tires.

Kinda what i was thinking. The toyos are spendy, i got time to decide

How long you thinking it will be before you get new ones? And who knows what kind of new tires will be out then?

When ever my funds recover from this damn front end swap. I'd say no later than July some new tars will be on.

I need new tires for my 20" stockers anyway, which they will get the hand me down terra grapps i have on now

Nope...all stock except the amp. It really makes the difference. In fact, do you know what the difference is between Escalade 'LUX' speakers and the (Bose) speakers in my Silverado?

NOTHING!!! They are exactly the same...but the amp powering those speakers makes all the difference. Sure, it doesn't hit like the '89 Cutlass on 24"s that the urban folk drive...it's more balanced....the highs/lows/and mid are all in tune.

I am very aware they are the same, and I certainly wasn't going to the extreme of a ghetto cruiser.

Happy you are pleased with the outcome :)

HAHA! I didn't think you were...but the analogy hit me as I was typing and I had to include it somehow...

It's like a Blackbear tune (the Lux amp) for the radio...it just makes things better...bot mind blowing or anything like that...it just brings everything up a notch.
