I've been knocked down drug out and left for dead
I guess we're never to old to learn something new, or should I say old. That's pretty cool.
Did they do all 4 tires? I had one shop do it, but the retards told me you only needed to do the fronts, as you wont feel the vibration from the back due to the lack of weight.
So I asked, "What happens when I rotate them?" That confused the hell out of them. I am suprise no one ever ask this. So they then did the rear. I never went back to that shop, but they did do an outstanding job.
How much did this run you? I had all four of mine done for $100 cash.
Damn...I got ripped...total for it all was $88.
How I see it.
The rotors and hubs should not have that much of a play in the balance.
1) The weight of them ,unless severly off, is minimal. They are usually balanced.
2) The mass in contrated closed to the center vs the longer travel the tire takes to make a revolution. This should not cause that much vibration.
Thoughts?

#1 - I agree the effect is probably minimal
#2 - Yes, the mass is closer to the center, but the correction for that mass isn't. The correction, in the form of wheel weights, is being done on the wheel rim, which would tend to "amplify" the imbalance when the tires are rotated to different positions.
