I just power my truck with the flux capacitor :dunno:

No, I'm a whatever they have on special kind of guy. I have never really needed anything stronger and batteries always seem to last quite a few years.

It's AC Delco or it's a no go for me.
Wow !!! You either been really lucky, or you just have a fetish for Green Eyes.

I refuse to run anything except a Delco battery. I have wasted my money on those other brands in the past. I don't care how good the warranty is, I am not gonna run back and forth getting one adjusted. I must have been very lucky because in my 25+ years of owning vehicles I have yet to have a Delco let me down.:dunno:

My 2006 Chevy 1500 (build date Dec 2005)...still has the original Delco battery.
The 2006 Caddy...(build date March 2006)...still has the original battery.

So far, I have had no trouble with them. :dunno:

If / when I do...they will be replaced by Delco's.

Your parents did great. I have not had much luck with Delco's. Seem they get just past that warranty period and peter out. Its happened on 2 of my vechicles, and each to my mom and dad.

I know I was surprised. I thought it was the original battery, and I bought that truck in 2002. They confirmed it when they pulled it out. But either way, it was probably a fluke.

I have just a Napa battery in my 2007. The Delco wouldn't start it after 2 nights of -15°F. It ended up sitting for 3 nights in the cold. The Napa cranked it no problem. :dunno:

I'm the unlucky one, both the factory AC Delco batteries that we had in my 02 Silverado and my wifes old Venture leaked and made a mess. They were both under warranty at the time so a new one went in. But just recently I got one of Advance Auto's batteries and so far so good.

Then there is Odyssey which from all the reading on my VW diesel forum is a really good battery. That is what I'm going to put in my 01 jetta when it needs a new one. The one in there now is 5yrs old.

I agree with you on the warranty part. Easy Warranty is great, but how many times you want to be stranded or have to swap batteries. I have never been let down by a Delco either, just that when they are done, they are flat done, and it does not seem to be much past 36 months.

Yeah. It was weird. Though I wasn't surprised. The battery seemed to act a little 'sick' before that. Earlier that fall, I had the radio on in the truck for maybe 60 minutes, and it wouldn't start up. :wtf:
