Thanks ZBones !!! I skipped alot of steps here, but I am sure if anyone was to attempt to build theirs I could give them enough info to get it done.

Awesome thread!

I had a T400 in my 68 Impala. That thing was bomb proof. I was playing around one day with a bunch of friends and started out in 1st gear. Forgot to shift up and had it punched. It shifted on it's own and hit second hard. Scared the piss out of me. I thought I broke it but it ran fine.

Being it was a 68, you had the good sprag in it. Might not have been so lucky if it were the roller sprag. Maybe though. The roller sprag is not all that bad, its just the dogbone sprag is better and tolerate more abuse, especially the 34 element one that I upgraded this to.

Send me an output shaft for a 4x4 700r4, and I have 3 cores sitting here ready to build but they are 2 be fo transmissions, so I'll have to swap out the output shaft to make it a 4x4 trans. I need the output shaft for my 85 K 10 build. I've got everything else. Just have to assemble the engine, and build the trans.

Thanks, 66Nova. I been gonna get with you. My SIL and daughter are building, or should I say trying, to build a 67 Nova right now. No spray, just a mild 350 and he wants to keep the original Powerslip trans. Still have original rear end too. But when after I talk to him again, and find what he needed to know about the rear end, I'll send you a PM. Thanks again. HRPC
