F'n nice...

...now if you could figure a way to change the DIC color.....

I wish I could change the trans gear indicator backlighting too. :dunno: But its a damn LCD screen.

I saw some dude on a Colorado/Canyon forum that changed the gear indicator colors there... :dunno:

There might be a piece of colored plastic between the screen and the outer glass of the display itself, that gives it the darker color...
Might be able to switch it out for something different :dunno:

If a GMT800 cluster fits in my Blazer, I'll sacrifice my S-Series cluster for you and find out

That looks good. '03+ the same? I hate how the Chevrolet gauges are white, if I ever end up in one of them models that will be on my things to do list

I was replying to this last night when the site crashed. Hopefully it doesn't happen this time.:uhoh:

NO. The '03- '07 classic are different, the bulbs are soldered to the PCB. It is a large project to change to LED, the whole cluster has to be stripped to get to them. Remove gauge needles and all, not a project for the beginner. Here are a couple of pics from when I did my change to LED.

The yellowish looking things are the LEDs with resistors soldered in.

Dang, thats a bit unfortunate, but still do-able evidentally. I like the 03+ layout WAY better. I just dislike the plain white. Got a shot of that cluster lit up re-installed? Must look sweet.
