I have a feeling these Toyota incidents, are going to make some new Federal laws come about where a driver is going to have some sort of emergency drive by wire deactivaton switch. I think I'd have gone for Neutral and let the engine blown. What would have kept him from being able to get to Neutral ???

I'd probably unhook the seatbelt, unlock door, open door and jump the hell out. Those toyota's are controlled by demons.

Man, kind of feeling sorry for Toyota now. You know a lot of these complaints are BS. But it would give folks a great excuse to go speeding along the highway.

However, other manufactures have had a feature in place for years that will kill the throttle if you press the brake. Audi, Nissan, and some others. I'm sure that feature will become far more popular now!

What is he gonna sue for? He didn't get in an accident and didnt get hurt.

Mental anguish and pain & suffering. Lawyers are really good at proving these things.

In other words he had the shit scared out of him and may never get over it.

Yep. This one seems legit, though, since there was an officer beside him saying he was standing up on the brake. Dude would have to be a helluva driver to pull off slamming both pedals to the floor while staying in control. All while making a phone call.
