OK I have never heard of this before and had to google it. Look at this stuff Leo, Link.

From what I read, yes, I think he means the u-joint should be moved, 90 deg, counter clockwise. Some of you guys go read that and see what you think.

WOW!!! That's some pretty good info there thanks bro. Yeah it looks like it is installed incorrectly. I'll take it back to the shop first thing in the morning.

Well you might want to go there armed with some information. Good luck getting it fixed up, and thanks for giving us something to learn about.

I see... he's talking about having the filler opening facing rearward rather than forward so that the force on the hole is compressing it rather than trying to open it and cause a possible failure... I guess in extreme use, that could be an issue?

Actually, I think he means changing which yolk is on the drive shave and which is connected to the diff. In compression holes are under a lot less stress than in tension, so by rotating it, the driveshaft will be pushing on the hole instead of pulling on it.
I gather that. I guess my post didn't come out as sarcastic as I intended. :dunno: The idea of compressing the hole instead of trying to rip it apart makes sense in a strange way.

As males we tend to think that way about holes Jim, so you do have some justification in your thought process.:naughty:

OK. Position explained. I believe now!

Thanks Eric. You are right.
