i recommend the 8.1l swap

those motors have some balls, thought breifly about sticking on in my F150.

Probably a lot of work to fit a big block into a GMT900....

Or anything less than a 3/4 ton, at least
:werd: You can get a ton of power out of BBC but big power isnt all I am looking for. With a BBC I would be lucky to get double digit gas mileage. I can have BBC power and LS engine gas milage with the combo I am looking at. Its the best of both worlds with new technology.

If you get the "work horse" 3/4 ton 6.0.... The 8.1 got better gas mileage...

Im going LS2, unless I can find an amazing deal on an LY6. My buddy has a 07 2500 with the LY6 and it will still get 10mpg towing 10k lbs. He gets mid teens completely unloaded. :dunno:

Loaded? Maybe, depending on the load. Unloaded? Uh... not so much.

I miss the power of my 8.1, but not the fuel consumtion LOL

The 6.0 in this pig is no mileage miser, but the 8.1 regularly got like 8 or 9 in mixed driving.
