I guess my new mod would be to find another truck. :dunno:
Well......."MODDING," means to "MAKE IT DIFFERENT"...so getting another completely "DIFFERENT" truck...should come under the heading of "MODDING"...I would think.
I've been on Chevy's web site playing around. I'd really like to get a 2010. I just didn't want to go in debt. I'll see what I get from the insurance company, and if it's a good chunk of change, I'll put it as a down payment on a brand spankin' shiney new, Victory Red Silverado WT.
That don't sound like a bad idea at all.

Yeah, I'm gettin' kind of anxious. :chevy:
You should be able to put down one hell of a down payment on another truck when this is done. The insurance company should pay you full market value plus any tax for the current truck. Sure, you might have a payment but it would be a SMALL one!

I might be able to pick this one up for about $15K. Actually, one similar to it. The one I can possibly get is an '05 with the 6.0, 4 spd tranny. It has around 70K on the clock. I've drove it before, and there are really only two things I don't like about it. The first thing I don't like, it's not red, and the second thing I don't like is it doesn't have cruise control. I know I can put an after market cruise on it. :dunno:

That's not a good mod resolution at all. :nono:

I've been "thinking" about a Camaro SS.. So, there's not a lot of point in spending money on the truck, if it may be gone soon...? :dunno:

A lot has to happen before I get something else. But, 1400 lbs less weight and more horsepower sounds like fun. That said, a quicker payoff and then some go-faster mods for the truck sound fun, too. :D

I need to buy the truck first. It has been ordered, and is scheduled to be built on the week of Jan 11th, but I haven't bought it yet. It will be a GMC Canyon crew cab 4x4 with the 5.3 V8.

Then once I have the truck in my hands I have a few plans...

spray in bed liner
front receiver hitch so I can use my Warn M8000 winch at either end
4" lift
33" tires
front locker
rocker panel guards
on board air.

Who is going to keep track of these next year anyway?

OH! and my mission for my Tahoe is to get rid of that damn AutoRide, inexpensively if possible. I just want to put a good set of shocks all the way around an level it. Probably drop the rear to do so.

Any help with this would be appreciated. I really like that rig. What a roadmaster!

Scott,
What is wrong with the AutoRide?
Why do you want to get rid of it?

The compressor is getting noisy, and the ride just isn't as good as it could be with nice set of Bilsteins
