I have always loved the old Big Blocks...

I have had a bunch of them.
396, 427, 454's...loved all of them.

There is nothing like the "PUSH" against your back with a good running Big Block when you mash the "GO" pedal a little bit. :) :) :)
There is also nothing like the "SOUND" of a good running big block.

It is end of an era...again...
I sure have been seeing a lot of THAT...(End of an Era thing)... in the last several years. :dunno:

The world...she is a changing... :(

The factory big blocks aren't really anything to sneeze at anyways. Yes I do know the history of the old school big blocks and they have their place in old muscle, but now a days you can get some bad A all aluminum aftermarket big blocks that are far superior than the factory blocks. :dunno:

Very true...and the good thing is...they are still "BIG BLOCKS" :) :)

They still have the right PUNCH and the right SOUND.

There is no need for a big block when you can use a diesel engine. It's more efficient, produces more torque, and will run longer.

Besides, people are putting out big block power on aluminum LSX series motors with bolt-ons. Hell there is a 427ci small-block LSX series motor that puts out more power than you can use in a street car.
