Keep your Ford truck...that way you still have a truck...and don't "HAVE" to have the Diesel right now.
Get the GTi...Pay it off quickly...

"THEN" get the Diesel that you want. :) :)
By then you can afford it better.

Just my opinion.
Good luck in whatever you choose.

I am going to keep the Ford. Well if I go the new truck route it is going to be the Ram 2500 HD crew cab 4x4 fully loaded with the Cummins and auto! Or the Chevy crew cab same setup type of deal. I have a beater car I drive back and fourth to work a 1992 Camry getting up there in miles 234,XXX miles. Leaning on the GTI side as I want a car and this will fit the bill for now. Really want a dang muscle car yet insurance and car note is the same deal as a diesel. If I do get the Diesel just rims, tires, intake and exhaust untill it is paid off. Same thing if I get the GTI just those simple mods. Also if I do go the car route, than be either a LBZ chevy, 2007 Cummins or 2002-2003 power stroke for the 7.3. what ya think?

Insurance really isn't that bad if you go with one of the insurance companies that specialize in Classic Car insurance.

I have Haggerty on my Nova and it's less than $200 per year for excellent coverage.

I would personally go with a 06-07 classic 2500 HD Chevy or GMC with the LBZ Dirtymax. My buddy even has one for sale. http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2982&highlight=2006+duramax
 Nice trucks if you can get a clean one.

Not a crewcab.

1. LBZ Duramax
2. '07 5.9 Cummins
3. 7.3 Powerstroke
Thats my plan for the line up if I can find a clean and nice used one. If not brand new it is.

I was talking about newer generation muscle cars. I have a 1969 gmc 2500 witha 396 and I pay $800 a year on it! Only 19 though with a clean driving record.

I have a question, why do you need another truck? are you going to be pulling something with that CC diesel, alot? that car is sweet, but if its just a DD get a "new" beater IMO.

if the decision is made, some good ideas have already been mentioned (truck wise) IF you want a great diesel 2002 ish try to find a superduty with the last version of the 7.3L.

Why not have two trucks? As soon as I get a diesel the F1 is getting ripped apart and built to be a desert truck! 800HP FTW! Think the 2002-2003 had the better head studs in the 7.3 if I am not mistaken. All I know is I want a diesel now! :wookie:

If you're buying a diesel, I'd get this.
