I did a tranny pan drop and replaced the filter, gasket and added some fluid. To my surprise, the pan wasn't all sludged up. It wiped clean with no problem.
Now I need to get the oil changed, but I want to run a bottle of Amsoil PI through it first.

How is the tranny behaving.

So far so good. I just did this yesterday and probably drove it about 25 miles. It seems to be shifting fine. I guess time will tell whether I should have done that or not.

I will say that I think it's bullshit that there's not a drain plug on the pan.

I looked for one, as I was going to replace the original pan with it. The ones I found weren't cheap, so I said screw it. My '01 had a drain plug.

Ordered a couple new batteries…starting to crank a little slow now that it’s cold and voltage drops pretty sharply when you first start it. Sounds like 3 years is about all these factory batteries are good for. Expensive little project.

A decent battery has doubled in price...it's bullshit!
