Technically, the RST package in the Tahoe doesn't come with the 6.2, but you can upgrade to the RST performance package for the Tahoe.

Regardless, it is very lame!!! It's pretty cool that they are pairing it with the 10speed though. Since, even the Denali only gets the 8 speed.

They are doing some weird shit with their offerings. Can't get the 6.2 in a burb. Can't get a 8 speed in the Tahoe or burb. Can't get a 10 speed in the Denali. Wtf??

The main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a vehicle yet is because the damn vehicle I want doesn't exist yet.

I think the Camaro will be getting a version of the 10-speed, but only in the ZL-1. :dunno:

Doing things slowly for marketing purpose.

Bloated whales with a larger engine.

Performance?

<yawn>

What's wrong with that? Soccer moms deserve to have some fun too :jester:

BTW what does surprise me to some extent is the Silverado 2500 and 3500 (and the Suburban HD available for fleet orders and some export markets) retaining the port-injection 6.0L which is outperformed by the direct-injection 5.3L fitted to the 1500.

The 6.0 in the HD's has a lower torque curve, and is a cast iron block, and possibly cast iron heads.... It's meant to be a tank, lol.

Though, direct injection wouldn't be a bad update. However, it probably can't handle the flogging it would get in the truck, at this time.

Iron block, aluminium heads.
Close enough, lol.

I don't know about all versions, but some of the LQ4's had cast iron heads. My truck has aluminum.
GM was a over the map when the LS engines came out, lol.

The 6.0 just needs direct injection, and it'll be good.

Though, when loaded, the 6.0 out performs the 6.4 Hemi, as is.
