Chevy has just launched a true street performance package for the 2018 Tahoe and Suburban. Called, the RST, for Rally Sport Truck, the biggest improvements will be found on the 2018 Tahoe. It will get the 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp, an improvement over the standard 5.3-liter engine now in the Tahoe that has just 355 hp. This improvement, and others we will detail below, enable the new Tahoe RST to launch from 0-60 MPH in under six seconds.

This excites me! But from what I read the 6.2 will only be offered in the Tahoe and not burb.

They better not put it in the Burb. If they do they better wait until 2020. That way it will not piss me off as much. :fume:

If they are, it doesn't seem like they are doing it now. I think it's lame that the RST package in the Tahoe comes with the 6.2, but the RST package in the Suburban does not.

Technically, the RST package in the Tahoe doesn't come with the 6.2, but you can upgrade to the RST performance package for the Tahoe.

Regardless, it is very lame!!! It's pretty cool that they are pairing it with the 10speed though. Since, even the Denali only gets the 8 speed.

They are doing some weird shit with their offerings. Can't get the 6.2 in a burb. Can't get a 8 speed in the Tahoe or burb. Can't get a 10 speed in the Denali. Wtf??

The main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a vehicle yet is because the damn vehicle I want doesn't exist yet.

I think the Camaro will be getting a version of the 10-speed, but only in the ZL-1. :dunno:
