Need help chosing a tire from Walmart. When I went few days ago walmart had Dextero 45k, Douglas 45k, and Goodyear 60k. Never heard of Dextero tires. I have yet to go to the other walmart to see what they have in stock yet.

This will likely be the last set of tires that car gets, with 180K on the clock, so with the limited information given; ask yourself if 40K is all you need out of a tire.

You listed nothing but brands and mileage. So if I had to pick a brand, it would be GY. You did not list what type of tire it is, or what you would like to see out of the tire. Long lasting? I guess go with that big number on the Good Year.

Size is 215/60/16. The goodyear is Viva 3 all season 95T 60K. Douglas all season 95H SL 45K. Dextero DTR1 touring 95H 45K. These are 3 options from Walmart in the 215/60/16.

Would like them to last but dont wanna replace them few years later either from dry rot cause not driving them enough either. The most mileage I put on any vehicle I owned past or present is 10-15k per year. I dont do any long distance traveling. Longest drive i did was 60 to 90 minutes away from home. Plus need some thats good in snow.

I might not be the best person to ask, I'm about to spend $800 putting a set of Nokian WRG3's on a Honda with 240K miles :D But my wife drives 500+ miles every week and it's snow season.

Personally, I'd stick to name brand tires. I don't care for no-name Chinese stuff. In the same vein, I wouldn't be shopping at Walmart either.

Good choice with the Goodyears. I just bought a tahoe which came with the Dextero tires. They are absolute garbage.

I had Goodyear Viva's on a car I used to commute in...be glad you got the road hazard, I had more flats than any other tire I ever ran. Good thing (I guess) was that I got about 60k out of them because they had all been replaced under the warranty at least once.

So much for buying new tires. I wrecked the car about month ago. Cracked windshield, bent inner tie rod, plastic sway bar broken, passenger fender dented, passenger front door wont open, both front tires need replaced, need another rim, bent rear drivers side strut, front passenger side splash guard torn in pieces, blown headlight bulb low side on front passenger side, and battery wont hold charge. I hit a dang tree with front passenger side of the car.

The bright side to this is you lived to tell about it. Hope you're OK.
