If you're planning on keeping it, reliability wise, deleting is good... All the soot that doesn't go into your DPF is blasted back into your engine with the EGR ;)

If you're planning on trading it in a few years, keep it stock

I keep getting told I might as well start shipping for the 5er and dually now. :)

regarding a delete....

I do want to do it, just not until the warranty expires. The cost of a variable geometry turbo is just too much to inhale.

I want to get the cleanest complete kit I can find. One that I can hopefully reinstall everything back to stock, should I choose to sell the truck. Nobody wants a truck that has been tuned, or deleted. It kills the value of the vehicle. One of my customers did a complete kit on an F350, and they took it to a dealer to trade it in (company work truck) and they actually deemed the truck as "totaled", and offered them half of current used value.

I just want a reliable tow vehicle to keep forever. When she is paid off in a couple years, I will park it. I am getting a car next time. The SS is tits, and needs some big bad illegal mods
You'll never hurt the turbo as long as you keep it under 35 PSI...

Just get a 5er! You don't need no stinkin' dually. I love the way my set-up handles, fully loaded with the 20s and the air bags at 50 psi. Fuggin' flies.

That answers a question i kept meaning to ask about whether you bagged this one. Which bags do you recommend?

What was the temperature when you got the warning?

Somewhere between 5 and 20F.

I'm betting you had a freeze up in the line...it's not supposed to do that, but you know how that goes.

This is probably the correct answer...35+ degrees today and the countdown 65mph limit went away. CEL is still on, but I'm betting that will go away with another startup cycle or two.

Oh...to be clear, in NH even non-exempt vehicles (gas or diesel) "emissions testing" is purely visual/OBD plug-in to check for codes. No sniffers at all...

I'm lucky here in NC. Our county is exempt for now. We live in one of the poorest counties in the state. Only $13 for an inspection. It is the vehicle tax we have to pay that sucks.
