Found a 2004 Yukon XL 2500 SLT 8.1L with 140k miles (1 owner). Probably gonna check it out this week.... that's one vehicle that won't flinch at a small lift, 33s, and towing 7k lol

I don't know if the link will work (this computer won't let me use the insert link button) but here's one in Dallas.

If you wanted a 1500, I know a guy selling a '12 with 33k miles here locally...looks brand new!

I saw that one in Dallas... has a bit much done to it which always makes me question previous owners reason for selling.

Is the 2012 a Denali XL??? :)

making them less rare and dropping value

If you plan to keep the Suburban 2500 'til 200k miles, what's it matter if the value drops "quicker" in the meantime? :dunno:

probably wasn't going to do much offroading with the jeep near term anyways....

Believe me, I've been in the "ehhhh, I can get something else later to do that in" boat. I'm kinda there right now, if I'm 100% honest. BUT... I'm going to ask you a couple of questions an uncle recently asked me when I mentioned a particular scenario to him.

Can you afford to keep it?

Does it make you happy / bring a smile to your face (when you use it the way it's intended)?

If both of those are yes, keep what makes you happy.

Oh, yeah! I did some searches and I'm not seeing anything promising about a 17/18 Suburban 2500.

For value dropping, it only matters in the sense that I won't be towing this year, and maybe next year at the earliest. So if I don't need the tow capacity yet, it might be worth waiting.

The Jeep vs YDXL is as complicated as choosing between the hot crazy bitch who's a freak in bed and the good looking nice chic who's dependable all around.... not an easy answer.

It is just a regular 2012 Suburban 1500 LTZ...No 6.2 here!!! LOL

I was getting excited about owing a beast like that.... buddy checked the truck out for me since its a 2hr drive away. Has some issues, so not as excited. Might check it out on my way home from vacation in 2 weeks if its still there, but looks like the search continues

Justin designed a twin-turbo kit for his 8.1

Does that pique your interest any?

They ended up selling the 8.1 that my buddy checked out... not heart broken, more will come along. All I have to do is wait another month for the gas tax increase to go into effect in NJ and no one will want to keep their 11mph guzzlers!

Just had a 2011 2500 pop up at a local dealer.... have to go check it out, but damn these things are all priced a few thousand above bluebook. I really am not looking forward to a big monthly payment!
