Changed the front and rear diff fluid. They both had 90,500 miles on them. Truck has 162,422 miles total.

My truck is probably due for some of that. More than likely, way over due. :uhoh:

Jeff, the average vehicle owner is way over due. The diff's are something most just don't think about.

For sure.

I do it every 50K

On the HDs, I do it annually. I switched it all out to Delvac1 last year, and will do the Severe Gear, soon. Trying to recover financially from my last Amsoil purchase

Rolled over 90k yesterday. It's a 2007 and I got it in 2008 with 15.5k miles.

Taking it pretty easy on it, really

How do you have so few miles on that truck?? Do you walk a lot or do you secretly have a Prius you drive everywhere!?!? :jester:

I live less than 5 miles from work.

But yeah . . . I'm surprised at the average too

That short a distance to work will stress the oil. Unless you get it out on the interstate once a week and run it for an hour.

My mother-in-law drove 3 miles to work each way and put 2k miles on her Mark VIII in 18months and I pulled a sample of it. Came back with high TAN and really low TBN. Basically the engine really never got warmed up enough to burn off the moisture. At least she had synthetic in the sump. Hate to see how it would have looked with conventional.
