Had to have the bitch towed home last night. The damn thing just died on me on the freeway coming home from work.

Any idea what's wrong with it?

My guess is the fuel pump. The truck has over 168,000 on it and it's never been replaced. The sending unit has been bad for a couple of years and would never give me an exact reading on the fuel gauge.

If it makes you feel any better I don't think GM built an 800 truck with a working sending unit. I don't know if it's the same but on the 1/2 tons it's all one unit inside the tank and you either have to drop it or pull the tank.

Do yourself a favor, get an AC pump from the dealer.

I put in one of the AirTex pumps in the Tahoe, when it first went out. That POS only lasted 2 years. If Carter still makes one, those are okay as well. I just pony up for the AC, now. We got 300K out of one at work, and 150K plus is normal at the very least, now.

Replaced the low beams with Silverstar ultras. They made a nice difference.

Too bad you will do it again in 90 days.

Those are the worst bulbs ever, now. I liked them too at one time.

Next time get PIAA. I got 5 years out of my last set, and have them for the new truck, too

I got a bonus. I got about 120 days out of them.
