I have done this to a brand new boat, and a 200 Merc :facepalm:

Picked up boat today. I will be re-splashing in the morning.

Total was about $9K (inc $1K for gelcoat repair under bow).

My cost was $500, only because I upgraded to a brand new lower unit instead of a remanufactured one.

New lower unit
rebuilt upper gear case, inc clutch and drive shaft.
new props (4 blade front, 3 blade rear...was 3 and 3).
gelcoat repair under bow from hitting dock due to being stuck in gear.

Glad you got it fixed. Boating sure seems like an awful expensive hobby when you aren't careful and watch what you're doing. :D
