yes, I understand that, but the word 'acts' suffices just fine. No need for quotes.

Just sayin' ;)

Knowing how people are on the internet, no matter how I said it, someone would "nit-pick" it.

Just sayin'. :jester:

Are you one of those people that use your fingers to do air quotes when you speak to someone?

I will admit that butchering the English language with poor grammar does annoy the hell out of me.

And to think I was a A/B student in most subjects and a C student in English/Writing Comp.

That's actually quite sad.

Got it. I still prefer to feel the shifts.... I guess I'm more old school.

Aside from it not continuing to wind-up and build more power, there really isn't any downside (that I've found so far) to the CVT setup in the Honda.

The way Subaru did it, though.... :puke: Underpowered vehicle and their CVTs were very slow to respond. That was one reason I bought the Outback with the 3.6. A bit more power and it had a regular transmission.

I actually prefer a manual, but they are getting hard to find any more in a truck.

I know the CVT does increase fuel economy. I'm not completely sold on the technology when so many companies can't build a decent auto trans.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the tech. We'll see how I feel about it when I'm closer to the end of the powertrain warranty vs. now.

So far, thought, I'm seeing about 29-30 mpg going back & forth to work and I haven't exactly been babying it. So, I'm glad to see that.
