Until they get the reliability up I wouldn't touch the S with a 10' pole.

What are the reliability issues? Are they recalling all of them because of engine fires, leaking main seals? fires due to washer fluid heaters, AFM lifters crashing, bent frames???

I'm just trying to understand what it is that's so unreliable about them. :D2

You need a Hybrid 'hoe, treehugger.

You need to GKYs.

Not really impressive... more like expected. An electric motor that puts out 416HP will absolutely crush a gas motor in the quarter mile.... but the down fall is the car can only run about 130MPH... so do the texas mile with both these cars.. and then come back and tell me how impressive it is.

:jester:

I saw one of these in person at the Dream Cars show last September... I really liked the dash board and center with the controls. Like having 2 full size tabelts in your dash. LOL.

Yeah you could tell the vette was closing in on it. Even a third of a mile track and it would have won

Blah, blah, blah, 1200 lbs, first generation, four passengers... Take it for what it is. If Tesla wanted to lighten the car and work that C7 over, I bet they could.

Ok... so send the C7 back to gm performance.... and I bet they could work that tesla right back over too.:jester:

It seems they're using Lucas electronics. I'm sure they'll get the bugs worked out within a few years if they don't go bust by then.

And if I'm not mistaken the Vette won the 2nd one, the one where the driver didn't have his head up his ass when the light went green where his higher HP had a change to catch up to the S's instantly available torque. Still very awesome performance for a 2 ton family sedan.

According to the time slips/ET's, the Vette won both runs.

Trap speeds weren't even close.

The Vette driver was asleep at the wheel on both launches too...

But I do think the Tesla performed very well. That Vette is the real deal.:tmc:

Oh I know. It's apples vs oranges.

I'd totally buy one if I had that type of money. In a heartbeat :rocker:
