We're in the process of restoring my son's '78 F150 Stepside (thread link in signature). We've got the bed off and we need to rewire for taillights. I got to thinking "Why not add a trailer receptacle since he might be pulling one occasionally. I'd like to add a round 7 pin receptacle with a trailer brake connection but I don't know if we can do that on a truck that old. What components would I need up front to tie in the brakes to the trailer receptacle? Can this be done on this old of a truck? Even if we don't add the receptacle at the back right now, if we at least ran the wiring back there that'd be one less thing we have to do in the future...
Thanks guys!
