Weird. It just looks crowded and messy to me.

Shouldn't be much more tight than the 900 engine bay since the frame is an evolution of that one and the engines shouldn't be any larger. That giant thing right in front of the throttle body isn't helping though. :dunno:

Nuh, uh! You mean, the truck is similar in size and shape and the engine is approximately the same size too? No freaking way.

Fucking engineers.

It was just a comment on the overall ginormous pile of stuff under there an the apparent effort to make it as hard to get to shit as possible.

My '07 1500 with every available option stickered for $44,800 for a comparison. There are a few of us here that could throw around a few stickers. Frankly, I expected to see an even bigger increase, not that I like it.

Yea...but that deep metallic blue sure was purdy....

They were unloading three at the local dealer.

The intake plenum and valve covers look a little taller but other than those and the freakin' 3rd base on the intake I don't see much difference. There's about the same amount of room between the exhaust manifolds and sides of the bay and between the belt and fan, just obscured by that thing. Battery, coolant tank, air box, master cylinder, fuse box, secondary battery tray and steering rack look to be in pretty much the exact same spot. :dunno:

The newer one still looks more disheveled to me. Looks like they just draped wires and hoses wherever.

The pics I have seen make the underhood area look disorganized and messy.
