Due to gross overloading of the piddly 4 speed (I knew it was going to happen, but oh well
), I managed to cook my transmission fluid with one trip with my trailer, so now it needs changing... It's still pink-ish, but it smells like wood... My transmission temperature peaked at 217*F.
Ambient temp was around 95*F, otherwise I think it might've survived
My problem is that the transmission pan doesn't have the model stamped into it... So I don't know if I have a 4L60E with a deep pan or a 4L70E.
Is the filter the same for both?
I do plan on buying an additional transmission cooler for the time being...
